3 Year Mubashira Diploma
Mubashira Diploma is given upon completion of 3 years of full-time studies. Essentially, the student will have taken all Islāmic courses offered (shown below) and completed a practicum and a thesis component. The breakdown of course distributions is above.
1 Year Certificate
This certificate is given upon completion of 1 year of full-time studies. You will be taking all the courses offered in the span of one year. This entails taking 9 courses per semester for a total of 18 courses in a year.
Part-time Studies
As a part-time student, you will be allowed to take up to 4 courses per semester. You may take part-time courses and still work towards a 1 Year Certificate or the 3 Year Mubashira Diploma. If studying part-time, the 1 Year Certificate must be completed within 1-3 years and the 3 Year Mubashira Diploma must be completed within 4-5 years from the initial date of registration.
Course Specializations
Many of the courses that are offered are multi-leveled and are offered throughout multiple semesters. To obtain a specialization, taking all levels of a single course are required. e.g., taking Holy Qur’ān 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, & 06 will mean you have completed a Holy Qur’ān Specialization.
Class Structure
All classes are currently being offered online and the language of instruction is English, unless otherwise specified. For nine courses per semester the classes will be from 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM with each class being an hour long. Evening classes will also be offered for selected subjects from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
There are two semesters in a year: Fall & Winter. All courses will be offered in the Fall & Winter semesters and you will be eligible to enroll provided you fulfill the prerequisites. Please keep in mind, these courses are subject to change; some may be added and/or removed. This will be based on interest and availability per academic year.
