Mubashira Diploma in Islamic Theology and Comprehensive Studies (3-Year Program)
The Mubashira Diploma is given upon completion of 3 years of full-time studies (6 semesters of full-time studies). Students must take 5 compulsory courses and at least 1 elective per semester for the Mubashira Diploma. See below for the course breakdown for full-time studies.
Certificate in Fundamental Islamic Studies (1-Year Program)
This certificate is given upon completion of 1 year of full-time studies (2 semesters of full-time studies). Students must take 5 compulsory courses and at least 1 elective per semester. See below for the course breakdown for full-time studies.
Part-time Studies
As a part-time student, you will be allowed to take up to 5 courses per semester. You may take part-time courses and still work towards a 1-Year Certificate or the 3-Year Mubashira Diploma. If studying part-time, the 1 Year Certificate must be completed within 1-3 years and the 3 Year Mubashira Diploma must be completed within 4-5 years from the initial date of registration.
Course Specializations
Many of the courses that are offered are multi-leveled and are offered throughout multiple semesters. To obtain a specialization, taking all levels of a single course are required. e.g., taking Holy Qur’ān 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, & 06 will mean you have completed a Holy Qur’ān Specialization.
Class Structure
All classes are currently being offered online and the language of instruction is English, unless otherwise specified. For nine courses per semester the classes will be from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM with each class being an hour long. Evening classes will also be offered for selected subjects from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
There are two semesters in a year: Fall & Winter. All courses will be offered in the Fall & Winter semesters and you will be eligible to enroll provided you fulfill the prerequisites. Please keep in mind, these courses are subject to change; some may be added and/or removed. This will be based on interest and availability per academic year.
