This course will teach students how to translate the Holy Qur’ān from Arabic to English. Students will also learn the basic grammatical rules of Qur’ānic Arabic.

Students will study the meaning and commentary of the verses of the Holy Qur’ān and learn how to apply the wisdom of the Holy Qur’ān to their everyday situations in the contemporary world.

Islāmic Teachings of Ḥadīth
This course introduces the students to the sayings and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammadsaw, that complement and elucidate the Qur’ān. The students will learn how to read, translate, and interpret the Ahadīth in Arabic and English, as well as memorize some of the essential ones. This course aims to enhance the students’ understanding and appreciation of the Ahadīth as a source of guidance and wisdom for their lives.

Islāmic Teachings of Fiqh
This course introduces the students to the principles and practices of Islāmic law, which is derived from the Qur’ān, Sunnah and Ahadīth. Students will learn about the importance and obligations of prayer, the timings and conditions of prayer, the method of performing prayer, and the rules and regulations of marriage, divorce, children and inheritance in Islām. This course aims to provide a comprehensive and balanced understanding of Islāmic law and its relevance to contemporary issues.

Islāmic Teachings of Kalam
This course aims to help students develop positive traits and behaviours based on Islāmic values, especially for Ahmadi Muslim women. Students will read and reflect on the books of the Promised Messiahas, which offer guidance and inspiration for character building. This course will also cover the basic knowledge of Islām as taught by the Promised Messiahas.

Language: Urdu
This course introduces Urdu language and its four basic skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. Urdu is the language of the Promised Messiahas and the Caliphs, whose books and sermons are rich sources of knowledge for Ahmadi Muslims. Students will learn to communicate in Urdu effectively and comprehend these texts with ease.

Comparative Religions
This course covers the world’s religions, their origins, diversity and similarities. It shows how religion influences people’s beliefs, values and practices across time and space. It also helps students understand and respect different faiths by introducing them to their scriptures, stories and rituals. Students will learn to think critically, research, communicate and produce media for various audiences. This course will enrich students’ awareness of religion in their own lives and the world.

Islāmic Sociology
This course explores the Islāmic teachings on various topics such as marriage, divorce, the veil and more, and how they address the misconceptions and challenges in the Western world. Students will learn to analyze Divine Law and its application in today’s world, and to find solutions to social problems based on the Holy Qur’ān. Students will also study the philosophy of the teachings of Islām and how they promote social stability.

Islāmic History (Islām & Ahmadiyya)
This course covers the emergence and development of Islāmic history, both from the time of the Prophet Muhammadsaw and his companions, as well as of Ahmadiyyat and Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya. This course aims to inspire students to follow Islāmic values and teachings in their personal and social lives, and to understand an Ahmadi Muslim woman’s role and responsibilities in the contemporary world.
